Sexual Assault

Sexual assault encompasses any non-consensual sexual act, from inappropriate touching to rape. It's a grave violation that affects individuals regardless of age, gender, or background, profoundly impacting their well-being. Recognizing, preventing, and supporting survivors of such acts are crucial steps in addressing this widespread issue.

Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is violence committed by someone in the victim's domestic circle. This includes partners and ex-partners, immediate family members, other relatives, and family friends. The term 'domestic violence' is used when there is a close relationship between the offender and the victim.

A mental health self-care wheel serves as a guide for maintaining and improving different aspects of your mental well-being. Here's how to use it:

Understand the Segments: Each segment represents an aspect of life that can impact your mental health, such as emotional, psychological, physical, professional, personal, and spiritual well-being.

Assess Your Current State: Reflect on each aspect of the wheel to assess how well you are currently caring for that area of your life. You might ask yourself questions like: "Am I getting enough rest?" or "How connected do I feel to others?"

Identify Areas for Improvement: Notice any segments where your self-care might be lacking. These are areas where you could focus on improving your habits or routines.

Make a Plan: Use the suggestions in each segment to create a personalized self-care plan. For instance, if you find that you've been neglecting your physical health, you could set a goal to "get a massage" or "exercise for 30 minutes a day."

Implement Strategies: Start incorporating the self-care strategies into your daily or weekly routine. It’s important to start with manageable changes to ensure that they are sustainable.

Monitor and Adjust: Over time, check in with yourself to see how these changes are affecting your overall mental health. If a certain activity doesn't seem helpful, or if another area of your life starts to need more attention, adjust your plan accordingly.

The wheel is a reminder to take a holistic approach to mental health, recognizing that many different areas of life contribute to your overall well-being. It's not just about addressing problems as they arise, but also about establishing routines that support every facet of your mental health on an ongoing basis.
